45 YEARS.......

2012......MARKS THE 45TH YEAR.......that metro has been .....MAKIN' DOZ JOKES........ When this all started we never ever dreamed it would go for this many years. We have had some wonderfull opportunities and experiences in the past 45 years. So thanks to all the folks who have attended our shows and supported Canadian talent, we use that term loosly, so thanks to you all.

WE WANT TO THANK ALL THE FOLKS AND GROUPS WHO BOOKED METRO AND OUR SHOWS THIS PAST YEAR. OUR GOAL WAS TO REACH $200 ,000.00 AND WE FELL JUST A BIT SHORT. ALL THE MONIES RAISED HAVE NOT BEEN TOTALED AS YET ,BUT WE THINK WE SHOULD BE AT $190,000.00 - $200,000.00.........SO WE ARE STILL PROUD OF THE FUNDS RAISED. THE RESULTS OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS HAVE BEEN GRATIFYING. AND IT GIVES VARIOUS GROUPS A CHANCE TO RAISE SOME WELL NEEDED FUNDS.
SO A BIG THANKS TO O ALL.

Prairies North Magazine

In the winter edition of this great Saskatchewan publication, is a story on METRO. the article titled LAUGHING WITH METRO was written by Lionel Hughes,the publisher. Lionel and his wife Michelle made the trip to Bruno and spent a few hours visiting and having lunch. These two lovely folks have done a marvelous job of promoting our great province and each publication is filled with wonderfull stories about Saskatchewan.
This edition features stories on the folks who drive our ice roads,Opera in the Battlefords and a story of U of S vounteer Doctors.......it has many other stories as well.
If you've not seen it, check out their web site www.prairiesnorth.com this is a first class and high quality publication. They have over 11,000 subscribers as of today.
We were very proud to be featured in their publication. Great job to folks like Lionel and Michelle who do a wonderfull job supporting Saskatchewan residents.

     2011 was the busiest year Metro has ever had in his whole career. We played at new locations and at spots we had never been to.
We welcomed the return of the Pelletier's who bring many years of show business experience and are true proffesionals. We added 2 shows to our act and both have been well received. Our first show has Metro only on his own and is for smaller functions. Our second show features both Jake and Metro doing their thing for around 1 hour. Jake opens the show and is followed by Metro, who also does a few of his Metro songs at the end of the show. So a couple of options available,
     Our BIG show, as Metro calls it, runs 2 hours +. The show opens with Jake Kluk who tries to set the tone. When Jake is done we bring out the Pelletiers. Freddie & Sheila will have your toes a tappin and really enjoying their eclectic brand of music. People have told us they have even laughed at Fred`s Joke........ We take a short pee break then we are back for the second half.....Metro is up for the rest of the night....his old tyme humor....or is it hummer..... wraps up the show. At the end of our second act........ Freddie & Sheila join Metro for a few songs and some buffonery to end the show.
